Islamic Anthology Series
A ten episode animated anthology developed for the Saudi Heritage Commission, with each chapter built around a site from Islamic history in Saudi Arabia, among them the Battle of Uhud and the Battle of the Trench near Madinah.
I directed the series alongside Hamzah Jamjoom, and every character was built from historical research rather than assumption. Wardrobe, armour, and weapons were designed against period reference, down to blade and scabbard construction and shield ornamentation, and each location was studied against its real terrain and setting before a single frame was modelled. That research is what let the series move across ten different historic sites without losing consistency.
Pre-production

The look of each character went through extensive art direction before production began, testing different sculptural, material, and environmental treatments until the series found a visual language that felt both grounded and cinematic.
Production

That same care carried into production, where every frame was built, lit, and rendered to hold up at a scale meant for public spaces, not just a screen.
Final Look

The score was composed by Omar Fadel, whose music carries each episode's emotional weight and ties the ten worlds of the series together. A look at three of the finished episodes, Othman, Uhud, and Bai'a, follows below.
