Creative Director
Ahmed Khattab is a creative director based in Dubai, working across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf. He is Creative Director at MassHouse Studio and Executive Producer at Flint Culture, and he builds the vision, world and framework that hold a project together before a single scene is shot or animated.
Vision, world and framework
Creative direction is where Ahmed defines what a project is trying to be. He sets the vision, builds the world it lives in and lays down the framework that every later decision answers to, so the tone stays true from the first pitch to the final cut. It is the discipline that lets large, multi-part projects feel like one authored thing rather than a collection of parts.
On the Islamic Anthology Series, a ten-episode 3D animated anthology for the Saudi Heritage Commission, he worked as Creative Director and Series Director. Each chapter focuses on a different historic Saudi site, grounded in extensive historical research, and the series is built to serve as a narrative foundation for future cultural and tourism destinations. Holding ten episodes to one coherent identity is creative direction at full stretch.
From institutions to global brands
Ahmed's creative direction extends to work with institutions and brands across the region, and he has contributed to projects touching names such as the Royal Commission for AlUla, the Ministry of Culture in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Education in the UAE, along with global brands, with that creative direction reaching clients in Riyadh and Abu Dhabi. He also directed Regional Museums for Our Saudi Story, shaping how upcoming regional museums are introduced to the public.
Because he also directs and produces, his creative direction is never abstract, it is written with the finished film in mind. That end-to-end view, from idea to delivery, is what protects the original intent through production. Reach him at hello@ahmed-khattab.com or +971 58 900 2332.
