Producing across formats
Producing, for Ahmed, means holding the practical and creative sides of a project together at once, budget and schedule on one hand, story and craft on the other, so neither compromises the other. That range covers animated work such as the Islamic Anthology Series, live-action and hybrid projects such as Regional Museums, and narrative shorts such as Children of Barzagh.
Regional Museums, made for Our Saudi Story, sits closer to documentary and promotional filmmaking than his other work, a nonfiction film built to introduce real places to a real audience rather than tell an invented story. Producing that kind of project asks for a different discipline than a narrative short, research, access and a clear sense of what the finished film needs to communicate, managed alongside the usual production logistics.
From development to delivery
As Executive Producer at Flint Culture, Ahmed has led creative production for cultural projects including internationally recognised exhibitions, and produced films and media supporting cultural diplomacy and high-profile programming in the region. As Creative Director at MassHouse Studio, he oversees end-to-end production pipelines, from concept development to delivery, for government entities, international brands and cultural institutions.
